Interdisciplinary visual artist Vicky Satchwell and I have teamed up to curate and produce Not quite there. The Not quite there inclusive immersive project brings together the diverse practices of ten artists from Northern Rivers, Gold Coast and Meanjin/Brisbane, in career stages from undergraduate to early to mid career, some respresented and some not, some with higher research degrees and some not. The uniting element in the show is that all these artists are preoccupied with the body.

The show's underlying theme is an unsettling sense of the uncanny, expressed through the awkwardness of inhabiting a body. Our full artist statement is on the flyer below.

A big thank you to Nicola Holly, Bill Platz and all the team at Griffith University Queensland College of Art for hosting this project in November-December 2022, across both Grey St and Project Galleries!
